Introduction

ETC has been working with the government to develop testing capabilities for children's toys and related products, as well as children's play equipment, in order to raise public awareness and protect the safety of babies and children.

Kids' play equipment and playgrounds

Test is based on the following standards:

  • CNS 12642、CNS 12643、CNS 15912、CNS 15913

Test Items

  • Absorption of impact from paving materials
  • Climbing net and safety net/grid design, manufacture and installation
  • Safety Net Drop Impact
  • Crashing effect of swing

Application field

  • Balance beams, climbing devices, upper body sports equipment, sliders, slides, swings, swing gates and doors, vertical spinning equipment, roller slides, bungee boards, bouncing/swinging equipment, horizontal spinning equipment, rail/slide rides, tops, step forms, surfacing, safety nets/grids
Toys for kids

Test is based on the following standards:

  • CNS 4797、CNS 4797-1、CNS 4797-2、CNS 4797-3、CNS 4797-4、CNS 4797-5、CNS 14276、CNS 15138-1、CNS 15493

  • Flame resistance (heat resistance, ball pressure test, incandescent test)
  • Chemical analysis (heavy metals, plasticiser content, migration of specific elements, formamide content)
  • Microbiological analysis (bacterial count, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus)
