Emergency Broadcasting System

Introduction

Fire safety equipment is vital to the protection of life and property and if it breaks down, it is not easily detected, creating a potential hazard.

For emergency broadcasting equipment/speakers for fire-fighting use, tests and certifications on the form, construction, material and performance of the equipment are conducted and reports are issued in accordance with the equipment specifications published by the Fire Services Department.

ETC aims to pass the stringent quality control system certified by the Fire Services Department as part of its aim to ensure safety.

Fire protection loudspeakers (wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted)

Test is based on the following standards:

  • CNS 4784 Section 2.12/CNS 4785/CNS 4787/CNS 4788
  • CNS 10522 Emergency broadcast loudspeaker section 4.4.1, 4.4.2 for fire fighting purposes
  • Notes on the test report to be attached to the application for approval of emergency broadcasting equipment for fire fighting purposes
