GPMS Green Product Management System

Introduction

With increasing material bans, electronic products have been returned due to the detection of banned substances, affecting products ranging from electronic components such as cables, PCBs, connectors, switches, diodes, transistors, ICs, resistors, inductors and capacitors, to information and electrical products such as LCDs, mobile phones, laptops, desktop computers, gaming devices and household appliances.

However, environmental restrictions on a growing number of products that have occurred and will occur in the future, such as national directives, regulations and voluntary standards of multinational enterprises, have become another non-tariff technical barrier to trade (TBT).

In addition, the EU RoHS and WEEE directives require lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), with the exception of cadmium (Cd), which is limited to 100 ppm, and all other concentrations must not exceed 1000 ppm, and are actively developing the use of alternative materials and products.

Through the integration of the ISO QMS implemented by the company, a management system (GPMS) that is part of your company's production platform for green products has been established to produce green products to meet the needs of your customers. To promote green products, it is necessary to include supplier management mechanisms such as supplier promotion, definition of green products and second- and third-tier supplier management systems to help suppliers reach a consensus with your company on the promotion of green products, so that green product management can be promoted quickly.

The aim is to prevent the mixing of products, to comply with laws and regulations, to meet customer requirements, to protect the global environment and to reduce the impact on the ecosystem by specifying the prohibited substances, planned abolition of substances and reduction of substances in environmentally controlled substances contained in raw materials or equipment of products.
