ISO 17025 : 2017 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories) is divided into Chapter 1 Scope, Chapter 2 Normative reference, Chapter 3 Terms and Definitions, Chapter 4 General requirements, Chapter 5 Structural requirements, Chapter 6 Resource requirements, Chapter 7 Process requirements and Chapter 8 Management system requirements.

TAF (Taiwan Accreditation Foundation) was formerly known as CNLA (Chinese National Laboratory Accreditation). It has been providing laboratory accreditation services since January 1, 2004.

TAF is committed to promoting the international accreditation of domestic laboratories in various fields, establishing standards for the assessment of the management and technical competence of laboratories, and conducting laboratory assessment and accreditation in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025 in conjunction with technical experts to improve the quality, management and technical competence of laboratories, supplemented by activities such as Proficiency. We also conduct proficiency testing to ensure that the technical capability of our laboratories is maintained at a certain level.

What is ISO 17025?
→ ISO 17025 is only applicable to calibration laboratories and testing laboratories for accreditation with sampling, not medical laboratories.

→ ISO 17025 ISO 17025 is applicable to testing and calibration laboratories of any size, regardless of the number of personnel or the scope of their testing and calibration activities.

→ ISO 17025 accredited testing and calibration laboratories can perform testing and calibration using standard methods, non-standard methods, methods developed by the laboratory, and measurement uncertainty assessment.

→ ISO 17025 assesses that the laboratory must have regulatory compliance in order to meet the needs of the regulatory authority or laboratory accreditation.

ETC has 15 laboratories of its own, the largest number of laboratories in the industry to be accredited by TAF as a third party impartial testing and calibration organization. ETC knows the laboratory best and has accumulated the most counseling experience, is the benchmark for counseling in the laboratory.
