Certificate mark:
1.
This
drawing is regulated according to the regulation of Section 1, Article 16 of the
Compliance Approval Regulations of
Telecommunications Terminal Equipment.
2.
There is no size restriction on the Mark, but
the Mark shall be affixed or marked at the appropriate position on the main body
in appropriate proportion (lattice).
3.
If the product is too
small to put the mark on it, the mark should be put on the smallest package.
4.
The certification mark shall be attached to the
product according to the regulation. The color of mark shall be single, clear and
distinguishable.

Use and Manage of
Certificate
After approved by ETC, the vendor should prepare
labels according to the form of Approval Label stipulated in the certificate of
approval, and affix or mark the label at the appropriate position on the main
body of the approved TTE prior to sale.
The exclusive right of use relating to Approval
Label belongs to the one who has been granted the certificate of approval.
Nevertheless, the others importing or selling TTE of the same brand name and
model number, if obtaining the consent of the one who has obtained the original
certificate of approval, may also use said Approval Label after submitting the
certificate of consent to DGT for reference.
Once
the approved TTE by ETC is modified in respect of model number, design or
function, it should be re-submitted for compliance approval. Nevertheless, after
modification in respect of design or function, if it remains in compliance with
the relevant technical specifications, the applicant only needs to notify the
ETC the part of modification for reference.
When
the aforementioned TTE extends its telecommunications interfaces and does not
affect the function of the approved telecommunications interfaces, it is
permitted to conduct the compliance approval only upon the part of extension.
Once
the relevant TTE technical specifications are amended, the approved TTE shall be
re-submitted for compliance approval according to the effective date and the way
of implementation as promulgated in the amended technical specifications.
Those
who have lost or damaged their TTE approval certificates issued by ETC may apply
for re-issue or replacement to ETC.
ETC
should perform market surveillance activities on the TTE from time to time.
After granting certificate of approval for TTE,
ETC may revoke or rescind the said certificate under one of the following
conditions:
1.
Failure to re-submit application for compliance
approval when the approved TTE does not comply with the relevant technical
specifications with a substantial modification in respect of model number,
design and function.
2.
Once the relevant technical specifications are
amended, the approved equipment fails to be re-submitted for compliance
approval according to the effective date and the way of implementation as
promulgated in the said technical specifications
3.
Data/information attached to the application
package is found to be counterfeited or false.
4.
After market surveillance, the TTE doesn't comply
with the relevant technical specifications.
Once
certificate of approval is revoked or rescinded, DGT should announce in public
the original holder of the certificate of approval and the matter of revocation
or rescission. The original holder shall not be permitted to re-submit an
application for approval within three months, including all products the
original holder holds.
According to Article 67 of Telecommunications
Act, those who import or market any TTE without compliance approval should be
fined NT$30,000 to NT$300,000, and their equipment should also be confiscated.
Electronics Testing Center, Taiwan is
commissioned by DGT for issuing the certificate of approval, and certify
equipment under the name of ETC.
According
to Section 2, Article 24 of Consumer Protection Law, the mark and manual of the
imported products or service should be Chinese and not fall shorter than them at
original location. For protecting the right of the consumers, the applicant
imported TTE should prepare the approval certificate and Chinese user
manual prior to sale.
